Rangnick provides an update on Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has provided an injury update on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after the defender was forced to leave the Young Boys match on a stretcher.

The right-back started the Champions League game at Old Trafford as one of 11 changes made to the team by our new German boss, with qualification to the knockout stages already secured.

Wan-Bissaka went down to ground during the second half at the Theatre of Dreams and required treatment from United’s medical staff, but he managed to play on against the Swiss side.

Then, at the stroke of full-time, Aaron appeared to fall hard into the advertising hoardings at pitchside and lay on the ground for several moments until a stretcher arrived.

The Englishman was pictured being carried off down the tunnel and, in his post-match interview with BT Sport, Rangnick provided this update on the player’s condition.

“Aaron got two knocks – one on the knee and one on the wrist,” reported Ralf. “So we’ll have to see how this develops by Saturday.”
United’s next match is Saturday’s Premier League test against Norwich City and, as Rangnick suggested, it remains to be seen if Wan-Bissaka will be fit to feature.

If Aaron is unavailable, then Diogo Dalot is likely to start at right-back following his recent impressive performances against Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
