Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has stressed the Reds must continue to build on our recent upward trajectory.

Erik ten Hag's side have won three times in the past eight days, seeing off Newport County in the Emirates FA Cup, and then Wolves and West Ham in back-to-back Premier League outings.

The teenager found the net twice on Sunday during our 3-0 win over the Hammers, taking his goal tally to seven for the season.

Speaking to MUTV, Garna admitted he has high hopes for the progress United can now make, given our recent results.

Garnacho: Winning is the most important thing

Alejandro Garnacho says that despite his two goals against West Ham, climbing the table remains our target...

"I am always trying to help the team by either scoring or assisting," began the Argentina international.

"I don't care if Rasmus [Hojlund] or [Marcus] Rashford score, we have to win and we have to be in the top six again.

"Hopefully, you know, [I could get] 10, 12 goals?"
Linking up wonderfully with fellow forwards Hojlund and Rashford throughout the encounter, Garnacho explained how he is happy the connection continues to grow between the trio.

"I am very happy for Rasmus [Hojlund] and also because it is his birthday," he added.

"He had a difficult start but now he has scored [in] four games in a row.

"I am very happy for him and all of the team."

Rasmus's first-half strike against the Hammers certainly got Old Trafford rocking!

"I think we connect for very well in the frontline and also now that I am playing on the right.

"With Rashy on the left and Bruno [Fernandes] in behind, we think we have a good team in the front."

Adding how exciting it is to be sharing the pitch with other Academy graduates, Garna also shared an insight into the way he and Kobbie Mainoo have progressed together.

"It is a dream for me and for Kobbie [Mainoo]," said the 19-year-old.

"Kobbie is a future star, for me, and also it is a good feeling because we played in the Under-18s and the Under-21s, we grew up together and I am very happy.

"If you have to play, you play, it doesn't matter if you are 18. I am happy for me and happy for the team."
