Garnacho shares an encouraging injury update

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has shared an encouraging update with supporters about his ongoing rehabilitation from injury.

The livewire Academy graduate, whose presence on the flanks has excited fans this season, has unfortunately been out of action since our draw with Southampton in the Premier League on 12 March.

As a result, Garnacho has so far missed seven matches across all competitions as Erik ten Hag’s men continue to fight for success in the Premier League, Europa League and Emirates FA Cup.

Thankfully, Alejandro appears to be making progress, judging by an image that he posted to Instagram on Monday afternoon, showing him “back with the boots” on at Carrington.

GETTING CLOSER

Ten Hag was asked about Garnacho’s recovery during a recent press conference and the manager was confident the youngster would play again this season.

However, the boss was reluctant to discuss a timeframe and he is keen for Alejandro to come back without any pressure.

“We have something in our heads, and he will definitely be back before the end of the season,” said the boss at Carrington.

“I think he will be in the final stages, but I don't want to bring so much pressure on the medical staff and Garnacho to set a date when he will be back.”
BACK STRONGER

After suffering his injury in early March, Garna posted a defiant message on Instagram that conveyed his determination to return in a positive way.

“This is part of football and our profession," he wrote. "However, I am already focused in my recovery. God has taught me to never give up and I will make sure I am back stronger than ever!”

Garnacho's return would be a welcome boost to the squad and particularly at a time when the squad is fighting for success in three different competitions.
