Garnacho: I’m humbled to win this award
POTM interview, part one | A grateful Alejandro Garnacho talks us through the highlights of his award-winning month…
As the livewire forward explains in our interview, which is being published in two parts across Tuesday and Wednesday, everybody is feeling proud of his recent achievements.
“My family has always been very close-knit and united behind me,” he told us. “We always do everything together. They’re here living with me, and they give me support on a daily basis.
“Both myself and them in particular are enjoying how well and how nicely things are going at the moment and they’re very proud of me.
“Right from when I first arrived here, I started with the Under-18s here and whenever we were playing an away match somewhere, say two or three hours away, my dad and my family would always come to watch, without fail.
“Just as much back then when I was starting out as they have done right up to the present day.
Part two of Alejandro’s interview will be available to watch on Wednesday.
