Amad and Shoretire train with United first team

Young forwards Amad and Shola Shoretire have been pictured training with Manchester United's first team, ahead of Thursday's Europa League match with Real Sociedad in Turin.

Amad, who is yet to make his senior Reds debut, has been involved with the group since completing his move from Atalanta in January, and was registered in the Europa League squad earlier this month.

After scoring three goals in two appearances for the Under-23s, he missed Neil Wood's side's win against Arsenal on Friday night through illness, but was well enough to take part in today's session.

Shoretire signed a new contract with the Reds last week and the competition could be the perfect setting for the 17-year-old to gain experience of first-team football, with seven Reds having made their debuts in last season's Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will travel to Italy for the clash tomorrow afternoon, after the manager has given his pre-match press conference in Manchester.

With domestic fixtures continuing to come thick and fast in this most congested of campaigns, the boss could take the opportunity to rotate his side, although we expect to hear more from him at his media briefing at 13:00 GMT on Wednesday.

We already know that Paul Pogba and Phil Jones will be absent at the Allianz Stadium through injury.

The 'home' side, meanwhile, have been boosted by the quicker-than-expected return of talisman Mikel Oyarzabal, who featured for the majority of the 1-0 La Liga win versus Getafe at the weekend.

Long-term absentees Miguel Moya and Luca Sangalli are still missing for the Basque outfit, though.
