''I feared the worst, ALHAMDOULILAH (praise be to God) nothing serious, back soon Inch’ALLAH (God willing),'' the United youngster posted.

It remains to be seen how long the forward will be out of action for, with the Reds next in action against Wrexham on Wednesday (03:30 BST), as Erik ten Hag expected to field a more youthful side against the EFL new boys, with Real Madrid to come on the following day.

Amad had shown promise in the Reds' opening two games of pre-season, bidding to impress after a fruitful loan spell with Championship side Sunderland last season.
The Ivory Coast international found the net 14 times in 39 appearances for the Black Cats in 2022/23 and has returned to the Reds in pre-season, bidding to stake a claim ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Amad was nominated for the Championship Player of the Year last term, whilst also scooping Sunderland's prize for Young Player of the Season.
