Andre Onana has won the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for April.

The Manchester United keeper flung himself to his left to push away Lyle Foster's goalbound header during the first half of the 1-1 draw with Burnley, last time out at Old Trafford.

It was a terrific stop that drew warm applause from the home supporters and showed off the Cameroon keeper's elasticity and agility.

Onana beat off competition from the other saves on the shortlist by Alisson (Liverpool), Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham United), ex-Red Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Arijanet Muric (Burnley) and Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest).

The decision was taken via a combination of a fan vote with a panel of experts also having their say.

It is the first time Onana has won the prize since joining the Reds from Internazionale in the summer.

No keeper has collected the trophy more than once this term, with the monthly victors Alisson (August), Robert Sanchez (September), Alphonse Areola (October), Thomas Kaminski (November), Wes Foderingham (December), Jordan Pickford (January), Mark Flekken (February) and Sels (March).

The Cameroon international posed with his award at Carrington for our cameras on Friday. Well done, Andre!
