Kanchelskis back at United
Andrei Kanchelskis was welcomed back at Manchester United on Thursday, as he enjoyed a tour of the Carrington facilities before attending the latest first-team training session.
The explosive winger was hugely popular at Old Trafford after arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk and helping the Reds end a 26-year wait for the league title.
Hugely influential, and exciting, the wide man was a key figure as our maiden Double was achieved in 1993/94, and was leading scorer in the following campaign, in what turned out to be his final season as a Red, before a shock move to Everton.
Andrei, who was joined by his son, also Andrei, had previously visited the Toffees, seeing their win over Nottingham Forest, but was also at his former home to see Ruben Amorim's men draw 1-1 with West Ham United last week.
Kanchelskis is currently coaching Russian Second Division side Dynamo Bryansk and is using his time in England to help provide inspiration ahead of the domestic term, which gets under way in March.
Look out for exclusive content from his visit, including the tour of our stunning training ground and a chat with the 56-year-old, who was a wonderful signing by Alex Ferguson, on the back of some shrewd scouting by the club.
The former CIS, Soviet Union and Russia international also played for Manchester City and Southampton in England, Glasgow giants Rangers and Fiorentina, among others, and many Reds supporters will recall his dazzling wingplay for the club, including a famous hat-trick in the 5-0 derby win over City in late 1994.
In 1994/95, he won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award and his honours also include the 1992 League Cup and the European Super Cup in 1991.
