Aoife Mannion suffers ACL injury
Manchester United Women can confirm that defender Aoife Mannion has suffered an ACL injury and is currently being supported by the club’s medical team who are working tirelessly on her rehabilitation.
Having signed in the summer, Aoife quickly established herself as a key part of Marc Skinner’s team, making 19 appearances across all competitions this season.
On her recovery, Aoife said:
“I’m determined more than ever to return to the team. Thankfully I had successful surgery a few weeks ago and am recovering well. I want to thank our fans for their continued support and can’t wait to pull on the red shirt again.”
The club wish her a speedy return to full fitness.
