Tuanzebe looking in tip-top shape
Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe looks determined to hit the ground running when the pre-season campaign gets under way next week.
The Academy graduate, who captained the first team in a Carabao Cup tie against his hometown club Rochdale in 2019, spent the back end of last season on loan at Napoli.
Unfortunately, injury hampered his progress in Italy and he was limited to only two appearances for the Serie A club. He had previously been at Aston Villa, on his second temporary stint with the Midlanders, where he made 11 outings.
The 24-year-old posted on Instagram, showing off his incredible physique after much intense work in the gym.
Peak Perform Ltd also showed the efforts Tuanzebe has been putting in during the close season on their social media account, and his time with a personal trainer clearly appears to have been well spent.
The centre-back has made 37 senior appearances for the Reds, since debuting in a 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic in an Emirates FA Cup tie at the start of 2017.
His last game for the Reds was as a substitute in the Europa League final against Villarreal in 2021.
Tuanzebe will be among a number of players returning from loan moves that are keen to have an opportunity to impress under the new manager.
