Brandon Williams: I've missed this
Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams is glad to be back working with Erik ten Hag’s squad in Spain, after spending the last few months on the sidelines due to injury.
Williams is part of a youthful group of 29 players Ten Hag has taken to the winter training camp in Andalusia, for the upcoming friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis.
Having missed out on Tour 2022 and the Dutchman's exciting first few months in charge at Old Trafford, Brandon - who has played 50 times for the Reds, scoring one goal - is now back doing what he loves: working hard and putting the effort in on the training pitch.
“Yeah, it’s been good. It’s been good to get back out on the pitch,” Brandon told us recently. “I miss what I do.
“Seeing the boys train, fly out to countries… Pre-season and stuff by myself it was hard and difficult, but - thanks to the physios and my team-mates and the people behind the scenes who have helped me a lot, helped with my mentality, not just with my body as well - I feel good, I feel great and it’s good to be back now.”

Williams spent the 2021/22 season out on loan with Norwich City and he made 29 appearances for the Canaries across all competitions.
He told us that he really enjoyed the experience of living away from home and continuing his football education in different surroundings, before picking up the injury issue which has kept him sidelined recently.
“Norwich was a fantastic year for me personally, on and off the pitch. I learned a lot off the pitch because it’s so far away from home,” he said.
“Everything’s in Manchester for me, but when I settled in I was fine, I was flying.
“I got an injury towards the end and then I got an injury which has kept me out now, so the start and the end part weren’t that good but the middle definitely helped me as a player.
“It helped me off the pitch, on the pitch and I went there and I got what I wanted, which was gametime.”
Brandon will now hope to be involved in the friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis, which you can watch live only on MUTV.
“I watch some games in La Liga and they’re big teams and when they do play teams like this it’s a high-quality league,” he added when asked his thoughts on the opposition.
“We had Real Sociedad come here [to Old Trafford] and beat us as well, so you can see the level in La Liga. Don’t underestimate them.”
