Brandon Williams was voted Manchester United's Man of Match after Sunday’s 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Making his first start in the Premier League - and his fourth in all competitions - the young left-back enjoyed a superb afternoon against Graham Potter’s men and helped to ensure we kept a second clean sheet in just four days, following Thursday’s 3-0 win over Partizan Belgrade.
With Ashley Young suspended, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to select Williams from the off and it proved to be an inspired decision, with the full-back winning four of his five tackles, registering a pass completion rate of 88 per cent and making five ball recoveries across the 90 minutes.

He was nominated for the Man-of-the-Match award alongside Marcus Rashford, who scored our final goal, and Daniel James, who was a constant nuisance for the Seagulls' defence throughout the afternoon. The shortlist was selected by MUTV pundit and former United striker Danny Webber.
After such an impressive performance by the entire team, it proved to be one of the tightest polls ever, with Williams emerging as the winner with 34 per cent of the vote, just ahead of Rashford and James, who respectively earned 33 per cent as fans had their say in our Official App.

The result for United moves us up to seventh in the table ahead of the two-week international break and it was our fifth win in six games in all competitions.
