Casemiro sustains a knock on international duty
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro picked up a knock during Brazil's 1-1 draw with Venezuela this week, according to national team boss Fernandeo Diniz.
The World Cup qualifying match took place in the early hours of Friday morning at Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba and our popular no.18 was substituted after 79 minutes.
The home side took a 50th-minute lead through Gabriel Magalhaes and looked set for a slender victory, until Eduard Bello made it 1-1 in the 85th minute with a stunning overhead kick.

Speaking after the match, Brazil manager Diniz provided reporters with more detail on Casemiro's departure.
“As there was a stop (in play), I decided to make the three substitutions,” Diniz told Globo Esporte. “We had a lot of control when they came on. Casemiro asked to come off due to a blow to his ankle.”
The severity of the problem is unclear and it remains to be seen whether the United man will feature in Brazil’s second match of the break, against Facundo Pellistri’s Uruguay on Wednesday morning.

United fans are no doubt keeping an eye on the situation and whether the 31-year-old will be fit for our return to action, against Sheffield United in the Premier League next Saturday night.
