Premier League assists: Bruno moves up charts

While the Portuguese playmaker's 56 assists place him far behind the division's record-holder, Ryan Giggs (162), he has now surpassed another Class of '92 member.

Paul Scholes set up 55 goals between his top-flight debut, in September 1994, and his final league appearance, 499 games and almost 19 years later.

Bruno has reached his current figure in 291 fewer appearances, and will now have two other former Reds in his sights, as he occupies fourth place in the list.

Wayne Rooney managed 93 of his 103 Premier League assists while a United player and is, alongside Giggs and Frank Lampard, one of only three players with a century of both goals and assists in the division.

David Beckham is next on the list, with 80 from his 265 top-flight appearances.
