Fernandes: Rashford was involved in everything
Bruno Fernandes has praised Marcus Rashford for his performance against Aston Villa, insisting there is plenty more to come from the Manchester United forward.
Erik ten Hag's side overcame an imposing half-time deficit to beat Aston Villa in our final home outing of 2023, winning 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Rashford made a telling impact on the left flank, turning provider for Alejandro Garnacho's first goal of the evening, having already set up the Argentina international for another finish that was ruled out for offside.
After the match, in which Garnacho also equalised before Rasmus Hojlund's first Premier League goal sealed the victory, Bruno insisted Marcus's display against Unai Emery's side was impressive in more ways than one.
Fernandes: We always had belief
Bruno says United had full faith they could overcome Villa's first-half advantage, following our Boxing Day success...
“I think for the first two goals he was involved and even the one that was offside.
“He was involved in everything today, pressurising [the Villa team] too.”
Bruno felt United could have exploited that asset even more, to further stretch Rashford's marker Ezri Konza and his fellow Villa defenders.
