Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has lavished praise on the way his Reds team-mates, insisting they all want to contribute to the side's success this season.

Erik ten Hag's side made it three wins from three during Tour 2022 by defeating Crystal Palace 3-1, with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all on target during the 90 minutes.

Rounding off the action in Melbourne in style, Fernandes has stressed morale is high in the camp following another comfortable victory.

Fernandes tells Robbo about some of the tactical ideas that are helping the Reds excel in pre-season...

"We are obviously feeling good, the result will help with that and we are playing good football," began the Portugal international.

"There are a lot of things to improve on yet, but we have time to do that and be ready for the first [Premier League] game of the season."

Much has been made so far of the tactical input Ten Hag has provided during our pre-season journey, with the Reds' tenacity both in and out of possession a particularly key talking point.

When quizzed on the changes being introduced, Bruno was happy to share just what he is being asked to do under our Dutch manager's stewardship.

"We have been much more aggressive now and the three guys up front have been much more aggressive in the way they press and they are strong too," said the former Sporting man.

"They make the last line squeeze and it makes the midfielders come a little bit higher, it makes it so, when we recover the ball, we are being closer to the ball too.

"We are much fresher to do that, and we have freedom when we recover the ball, because we get to teams and, when they recover, they are really wide. There is loads of space in the middle and, as you said, we are much better on the ball too."

With the onus on finding the net as much as ever heading into the 2022/23 campaign, Fernandes is backing his team-mates to deliver when it matters most this season, after a disappointing overall output last term.

"We all know that everyone wants to score goals, but the main ones have to be the strikers," he added. "They know that they have to be there to score goals and they are doing really well.

"We have to keep supporting them in making them happy because we know that they lead from the goals."
