Bruno Fernandes is back at Carrington!

Tuesday 27 July 2021 14:15

Bruno Fernandes was pictured in Manchester United training at Carrington on Tuesday, after returning from his post-European Championship break.

The 26-year-old has been enjoying some well-deserved downtime since Portugal exited this summer's competition in late June, with Fernando Santos's men narrowly defeated by Belgium, 1-0, in the round of 16.

As with many of United's other tournament players, Fernandes has used social media in the intervening month to share what he's been up to.

The reigning Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year has been busy by the looks of it, not only relaxing with his family but also keeping in shape by training with Porto club Boavista.

Bruno takes part in a drill with fellow midfielders Dylan Levitt and Andreas.

He was also presented with the Medal of Merit from his hometown of Maia, but, most importanly, our talismanic midfielder was able to rest ahead of what is sure to be another busy and demanding campaign.

Indeed, Bruno took to Twitter and Instagram this morning to announce his return, stating that his batteries were once again 'fully charged'.

That will be music to the ears of United supporters, who are eager for more having already been spoilt watching the former Sporting man since his transfer in January 2020.

Our no.18 has 40 goals and 26 assists in 80 appearances for the Reds and must already be relishing the link-up with new boy Jadon Sancho.

Fernandes is the third Red to return to training at Carrington this week.

Diogo Dalot, who also played at the Euros for Portugal, and Donny van de Beek were snapped by our cameras on Monday, meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's options continue to increase ahead of upcoming friendlies with Brentford, Preston North End and Everton.

While the meeting with the Bees may come too early for Bruno, we expect to hear from the manager himself with a team news update later today (Tuesday).
