What has Bruno said about Paul Pogba?

Tuesday 16 March 2021 09:39

Bruno Fernandes sent Paul Pogba a happy birthday message via social media – and couldn't help but reveal how much he misses his fellow midfielder out on the pitch.

The Frenchman turned 28 on Monday (15 March) but has been absent for our last 10 matches, due to an injury picked up in the 3-3 draw with Everton, back in early February.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that Paul could be available for Thursday's Europa League second leg with AC Milan and, for Fernandes, it seems Pogba's return cannot come soon enough.

Paul Pogba came up with some vital Premier League contributions last month...

“Happy birthday to this big guy!!” wrote the Reds' inspirational Portuguese playmaker.

“A class lad on and off the pitch. I miss having you on the pitch Pogboom.”

Pogba's injury came at a particularly bad time for both the player and the club, as the World Cup winner was in arguably the best form of his United career to date.

The gifted France international was named our Player of the Month for January, after a series of excellent individual displays.

Notably, his superb winners at Burnley and Fulham (our January Goal of the Month) earned us six crucial points which, at the time, took Ole's men to the top of the Premier League.

The Reds have notched up some impressive victories in his absence - particularly our 2-0 win over Manchester City – but Pogba's return would add an important extra creative presence in midfield, as we enter the season's critical final months.

It's clear Bruno cannot wait for his partner-in-crime to be back on the field, and we're sure that feeling is shared by every MUFC fan!
