Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes put in another impressive showing in the Reds’ 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday.
In a first half in which United very much needed something to turn the momentum in our favour, after a strong start to the game from the visitors, Bruno delivered, with his inch-perfect trivela pass sending Marcus Rashford away to open the scoring and net the first of his two goals on the afternoon.
Our no.8’s influence in the contest continued to grow from then on, and he would go on to lead the team to a comfortable victory, as captain for the afternoon, also providing the assist for Jadon Sancho’s second-half strike.

Marcus Rashford was on fire when the Reds faced the Foxes in February 2023...
While his performance warrants plenty of praise in itself, Bruno was keen to share the love post-match, and recognise the collective contributions of his team-mates.
After showing appreciation for the efforts of Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst in his interview with MUTV after the final whistle, Fernandes has been applauding his fellow Reds’ showings via Instagram, too.
Among his replies, the midfielder recognised David De Gea’s achievement of equalling our club record for clean sheets, commenting on the goalkeeper’s post: “That’s why you are at this level for so many years.”
Bruno also responded to posts from Rashford and Jadon Sancho, which were directed to him. Having assisted his first goal, Rashford called Fernandes “magic man”, to which the midfielder replied: “This man is on fire.”
Having then set up Sancho’s effort, Jadon posted: “I owe you an assist”. “I’ll be waiting for that,” was the Portuguese’s light-hearted reply. He also commented on Sancho’s own Instagram post, saying: “Step by step, you getting there again.”
