Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes is one of the three players in contention for UEFA's Europa League Player of the Season award.

Sevilla schemer Ever Banega, who played against us in the semi-final, and Internazionale striker Romelu Lukaku, a scorer at both ends in the dramatic final, are also in the frame.

Banega was influential in the middle of park for the trophy winners but has since joined Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab, while former Red Romelu has been prolific in the competition, scoring seven times last term.

Bruno netted against both FC Copenhagen and Sevilla during the min-tournament in Germany, after previously shining for Sporting Lisbon ahead of his move to Old Trafford in January. The Portugal international was top scorer in the 2019/20 Europa League with eight goals in 10 games, and also contributed four assists.

The jury used for selecting the three players was comprised of the coaches of the 48 clubs involved in the group-stage of the competition, along with 55 journalists from the ESM group.

The coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Each member of the jury allocated five points, three points and one point, respectively, to their three choices.

The UEFA men and women's awards will be presented during the 2020/21 Champions League group-stage draw on 1 October.

Paul Pogba won the award in 2016/17 after helping United lift the trophy in Stockholm, with Antoine Griezmann and Eden Hazard the other previous recipients of the accolade.
