Stat: Mbeumo among Premier League's fastest players

Monday 08 September 2025 12:30

Only one player has clocked a faster time in the Premier League this season than Manchester United's Bryan Mbeumo.

Our summer signing from Brentford has made a positive early impression with his new club, earning both our Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for August.

He has continued his good form with Cameroon during the international break and is likely to be a key figure in the Manchester derby, against City, upon his return.

The Premier League has published figures of the fastest times logged across the opening three gameweeks.

Wolves defender Jackson Tchatchoua is understandably top of the list, with his 37.30 km/h recorded against Everton the third-fastest since the technology was introduced, only behind Micky van de Ven and Kyle Walker.

However, Mbeumo is second to his fellow countryman, following a sprint during the 1-1 draw at Fulham that was timed at 36.36 km/h.

Former Red Dan James, now with Leeds United, is in third place, and another of our ex-players, Newcastle United new boy Anthony Elanga, also makes the top five.
