Mbeumo wins Man of the Match v Burnley
Saturday was a day to remember for Bryan Mbeumo, who scored his first Premier League goal for the club in our 3-2 win at home to Burnley.
His emphatic finish at the east end of Old Trafford, which put us 2-1 ahead in the second half, was also his first goal as a Red at the Theatre of Dreams and his second of the week after he opened his United account in Wednesday's League Cup tie at Grimsby.
Mbeumo told BBC Match of the Day that he was "very happy" to contribute to the victory over Burnley, and his efforts have been recognised by supporters, who have chosen him as our Man of the Match.
The vote opened on ManUtd.com and in the United App shortly after full-time at a raucous Old Trafford, and closed earlier this afternoon with Mbeumo out on top, having accumulated a majority 55 per cent of all selections.
It means the Cameroon international receives the award for the first time, following his transfer from Brentford in the summer.
Our no.19 featured as the right of the two attacking midfielders in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-2-1 system, and was a threat to the Burnley backline way before his goal.
He tested Clarets shot-stopper Martin Dubravka with a curling left-footed effort early on and whistled a right-footed attempt narrowly past the Stretford End posts shortly after. He also nearly teed up Amad in first-half stoppage time, but for the Ivorian putting his first-time connection on Mbeumo's clever and unselfish pass over the crossbar at close range.
Mbeumo continued to cause problems for our visitors after the break and produced one of the moments of the match shortly after Lyle Foster had levelled the game at 1-1, an equaliser that cancelled out the Josh Cullen own goal that put us ahead.
With the travelling Burnley fans still celebrating their team's equaliser, Bryan flipped the momentum back in our favour, coolly pulling away from the retreating defenders to drill home Diogo Dalot's cutback from the left.
A brilliant scene of celebration followed as our summer signing wheeled away to take in his milestone moment closer to our supporters.
Little did we know at that point that even bigger celebrations would follow later in the afternoon, but Bryan enjoyed those too, as Bruno Fernandes's stoppage-time winner ensured that Jaidon Anthony's goal to make it 2-2 would be in vain.

Fernandes, who kept his cool from the penalty spot to earn us the points in the 97th minute, came second in the running for Man of the Match with 25 per cent of our fans' votes.
Amad - the man who was fouled for Bruno's last-gasp kick - finished third having accumulated six per cent of all selections, following his own impressive display.
Thank you to everyone who voted.
