Cardless and United Launch Co-Branded Credit Card

Manchester United and Cardless, the US-based consumer credit card financial technology firm that helps brands launch and run custom co-branded credit card products, today announced a partnership to provide the club’s millions of US fans and followers with The Manchester United Credit Card by Cardless.

The partnership will enable fans to make purchases and earn rewards in the form of unique experiences, merchandise, and exclusive offers.

The Manchester United Credit Card by Cardless is the first US-based credit card product for the club. Manchester United has the biggest global portfolio of financial services partners in football, bringing both the expertise and experience to ensure that this ground-breaking partnership delivers benefits for US fans through the Cardless platform.

The co-branded credit card will initially be available to official Manchester United Supporters’ Clubs and will eventually be extended to all US fans. The co-branded credit card and accompanying mobile app provide instant access to a virtual card number and mobile wallet card upon account approval, as well as an innovative numberless physical credit card for enhanced security and top-class fraud protections.

Each purchase made with The Manchester United Card earns Cardless points, which can be redeemed for team merchandise such as jerseys, player and legend meet and greets, signed memorabilia, access to events, free match streaming, and other exclusive offers and unique experiences.

The card will offer 10x points back on purchases made from official Manchester United online stores, 5x points back on ride-sharing services or purchases made at a selection of bars and restaurants, and 1x points on purchases made from everywhere else. New Cardless account holders will be gifted a Manchester United jersey after spending at least $1,000 on qualifying transactions within three months of account opening.
