Casemiro's acclaim for Kobbie

Speaking during a major interview in the new edition of our official monthly magazine Inside United, the Brazilian was fulsome in his praise of the 18-year-old, with whom he’s shared the engine room in impressive fashion since the two were paired for the first time in January.

“For those of us who work with him, it’s been no surprise to see him scoring and playing really well in games,” said the Brazilian.

“I think we have a complete player in Kobbie – aggressive, looks after the ball, a player who wants the ball.”

That is a glowing commendation, coming from a player who has been at the top of the midfield game for a decade and has the medals to show for it. And so convinced is Casemiro by Kobbie’s qualities, including the “good head he has on his shoulders”, he believes that the youngster could be a midfield mainstay for a long time to come.

“I would say that if Kobbie continues the way he’s going with this mentality, continues training hard and doing things right, Manchester United have a great player for the next 15 years.”
