Casemiro reveals his favourite goal

When Casemiro signed for Manchester United in the summer, goalscoring would have been relatively low on the list of traits that supporters would have known him for.

But while the tough-tackling enforcer is more famous for breaking up play brilliantly at the foot of our midfield, he has already found the net for the Reds.

Casemiro’s injury-time leveller against Chelsea back in October proves the Brazilian can have an impact at both ends of the pitch.

During our recent Fans’ Q&A, the midfield general was asked which of his career goals was his favourite. The Brazilian selected two, with both being scored during his illustrious time with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“My favourite one has to be the one that I scored against Napoli in the Champions League,” he said.

“But the most important one was in the Champions League Final against Juventus.”

As well as opening his United account before the winter break, Casemiro has continued his goalscoring form for his national team too.

The midfielder hammered home the winner in Brazil's second group-stage match against Switzerland in Qatar, as the South Americans go in search of a sixth World Cup win.

With the Reds' season resuming later this month, manager Erik ten Hag will hope Casemiro can have a similar impact in the second half of the campaign.
