McNeill returns from Stevenage loan spell

Charlie McNeill is returning to Manchester United, following his loan spell at Stevenage.

The 20-year-old joined the League One club on 1 September, after appearing in our EFL Trophy game against Stockport County and scoring during the penalty shootout.

He made an instant impression by finding the net on his debut for his new team, in a 3-0 win away to Leyton Orient.

McNeill, who rejoined the Reds from Manchester City in the summer of 2020, played two further games for Stevenage and was an unused substitute on four occasions.

Steve Evans's side are doing well, and currently sit in seventh position in the table. Only goal difference separates them from Barnsley in the last play-off spot.

We'd like to welcome Charlie back to the fold again - he had a stint on loan with Newport County in the second half of last season.

The centre-forward made his senior debut for United in the Europa League tie against Real Sociedad in September 2022.
