Voting open for United's Goal of the Month

Wednesday 03 January 2024 11:30

Voting for Manchester United's December Goal of the Month award is now open, with 12 strikes bidding to win the final prize of 2023.

Scott McTominay and Melvine Malard both have two goals on the shortlist, which contains efforts from four United sides - men, women, Under-21s and Under-18s.

Rasmus Hojlund's first league goal as a Red is also included in the poll, as is Alejandro Garnacho's opener in the Boxing Day comeback win over Aston Villa.

Marcus Rashford is in the equation too, after he found the net at Nottingham Forest with our 105th and final goal of 2023 on Saturday.

A quartet of goals from our women's team feature in the video, which you can watch above.

All four were scored in the WSL thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur, with Malard (x2), Ella Toone and Hayley Ladd all adding to their accounts for the campaign at Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road ground.

Our Under-21s only played once in December, but Shola Shoretire's neat finish against Newcastle United, following good work from Mateo Mejia, makes the grade.

Two goals for our Under-18s - Ruben Curley versus Wolves, and James Scanlon at Everton - are also up for nomination.

Make sure you vote for your favourite in the poll below before Saturday afternoon, when the winner will be announced.
