Healy to leave United Women
Charlotte Healy is to depart Manchester United Women and take over as head coach of Bristol City.
Healy first joined the club as Under-21s coach in 2019 and she has worked as assistant to Marc Skinner in recent years.
She has played a key role in the team’s recent successes, which include lifting the Adobe Women’s FA Cup at Wembley in 2024 and securing a top-three finish in the Women’s Super League last term.
Healy will now guide the Robins in WSL 2, succeeding Stephen Kirby who stepped down last month.
Aherne and Mannion to depart
ArticleUnited Women will bid farewell to the duo this summer.
“After six memorable years at Manchester United, the time has come for me to move on,” wrote Charlotte.
“To every player and staff member I’ve had the privilege to work alongside - thank you. Your dedication, passion, and professionalism has inspired and motivated me every single day. I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best players in the world and some of the most talented practitioners in the game.
“Over the past six years, I’ve seen the women’s first team achieve historic milestones - rising from the Women’s Championship to securing Champions League qualification. During my three seasons with the first team, reaching three consecutive FA Cup finals has been so special.
“This group of women have exemplified what hard work, courage, and relentless drive can achieve.
“I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Being part of this journey has been one of the greatest privileges of my life and has brought me some of my most cherished memories.”
Charlotte – it’s been a privilege for us too, and we wish you all the best of success in Bristol.
