Competing at the very top of their sport is something our Manchester United players and professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr have in common.

We caught up with the massive United fan at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where he watched the Reds’ Tour 2023 match against Borussia Dortmund.

In our exclusive interview, Eubank Jr revealed the relationship he has with the lads and the mutual respect they share.

It was great to see Chris Eubank Jr in Las Vegas, where he told us about his relationship with some of our lads...

“I know these guys, I’ve followed them for years,” he told us. “They’re a great bunch of boys. I’m close with a few of them.

“We’re athletes and they appreciate the things that I do in the boxing ring. We all know how hard and dedicated you have to be to make it to the top.

“These guys are at the top of their sport, so we vibe with each other. The energy is very exciting.”

As we count down the days to the return of competitive football, Eubank Jr is looking forward to what the new campaign has in store for Erik ten Hag’s team.

“I’m very excited to see how this squad does, there’s a lot of potential and I think they’re going to go far,” Chris said.

While the Reds are busy getting ready for the long season ahead, Eubank Jr is preparing for his big rematch against Liam Smith in Manchester on 2 September - and some of the Reds hope to be able to support him at the AO Arena.

“It’s a big one, a very important one for me,” he explained. “I love fighting in Manchester - the energy, the vibes - it gives you that boost. Obviously, to be around these guys [the United players] as well just gives you that extra push.

“A couple of them will be ringside, I spoke to Marcus [Rashford] and he said he’ll be there so it will be fun.”
