Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen

Eriksen back in training with United

Christian Eriksen was pictured taking part in Manchester United's training session at Carrington on Monday morning.

The Danish midfielder has returned to working with his team-mates following a month-long spell on the sidelines.

Eriksen has made 15 appearances so far this season, scoring once - against Nottingham Forest in August - but he hasn't featured since the 1-0 home win over Luton Town on Saturday 11 November.

Christian Eriksen (furthest right) walks out to the training pitches with (from left) Willy Kambwala, Sam Mather, Donny van de Beek, Hannibal and Marcus Rashford.

He departed the field after 40 minutes of our meeting with the Hatters and subsequently missed Denmark's final Euro 2024 qualifiers with Slovenia and Northern Ireland.

Eriksen was soon diagnosed with a knee issue, with the original estimate suggesting he would be out until the middle of December.

Our no.14 was sidelined for league games against Everton, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Liverpool. He also missed two Champions League fixtures - the 3-3 draw with Galatasaray in Istanbul and our 1-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich.

Eriksen was involved in this morning's session, following Sunday's goalless draw at Anfield, where Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford returned to the side after injury and illness respectively.

It's great to see Christian back on the training pitches once again - keep across our channels for more images of the Dane dropping this afternoon.

United are next in action at West Ham on Saturday 23 December, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 GMT.
