Competition: Win a Casemiro shirt
Casemiro won our Man of the Match award for his performance in Manchester United’s victory over Reading in the FA Cup, and now you could be in with a chance of winning a shirt with his name on the back.
The Brazilian was at the heart of all things good in Saturday's fourth-round win, most notably netting a brace against the Championship side, to see United through to the next round of the competition.
His first came after he burst past the Reading defence, before collecting the ball from Antony and chipping a shot over Joe Lumley in the Reading goal, to open the scoring.
Moments later, after receiving the ball from Fred, the midfielder curled home from range - with the help of a slight deflection - to double our advantage and firmly put us on our way to the next round.
“Obviously everyone knows that my role doesn’t involve scoring, my role is to give balance to the team, it’s a defensive role and [to] pass with quality.”
“But scoring is important as well, to help the team. No doubt I’m happy to score, happy to help the team in a match like this, with a lot of duels, hard to play – so I’m very happy to have scored a brace today.”
