Ole names XI to face West Brom

The boss has made two changes to the side that drew with Everton in the league last Saturday, with Anthony Martial and Fred, playing his 100th game, coming in for Mason Greenwood, who is named on the bench, and the injured Paul Pogba.

Asked by his line-up by club media's Stewart Gardner, Ole said: "Well, it's the relentless season and scheduling, of course! We need to try and keep as fresh a team as possible, be ready, both mentally and physically. It's about keeping, say, the tightness in the group.

"We've lost a few players through some injuries, and some, of course, we sent out on loan. Everyone [here] now knows they are going to be asked to contribute and that's the way it's going to keep going."

As well Fred making his 100th appearance for the Reds, Edinson Cavani celebrates his 34th birthday today and Oleis hoping he can mark it with a goal or two.

"Edi still looks young, and still looks young when he's on the pitch! So hopefully we can have something to cheer about after the game," he added.

"It's just about coming here and doing a professional job. We know it's not going to be a really enjoyable until you score a few goals here. We've got to dig in, earn the right to play football, and be professional.

"Attitude is vital. If you come in knowing that if you work hard, do all the basics right, earn the right to play your football, then the talent and the skills will come through. And hopefully we can create chances, and then we need to take them.

"We need to be clinical and ruthless in front of goal because you don't like too many games going to the wire, as we have done too many times."
