With the New Year upon us, we have ranked Manchester United’s top 10 goals of 2022 – but which strike has come out on top?
10: JADON SANCHO V LIVERPOOL
On this electrifying night at Old Trafford, the livewire forward displayed his street smarts by dancing around defenders to execute a composed finish. It was rightly voted August’s Goal of the Month.
9: ANTONY V MANCHESTER CITY
This was a chastening day at the Etihad Stadium, where we lost 6-3, but the Brazilian’s long-range goal was a clear positive: his rocket-fuelled finish was voted our Goal of the Month for October.

Just for fun, we couldn't resist compiling our top 10 goals of 2022 and it's an entertaining watch...
Sometimes a goal is about the sum of its parts and, while the Scot’s finish was superb, it was overshadowed by Alejandro Garnacho’s gorgeous assist from 40 yards away. Up the Academy!
7: CRISTIANO RONALDO V NORWICH CITY
The Portuguese ex-Red wrapped up his 60th career hat-trick in stunning fashion last April, by unleashing a rasping free-kick that was too hot for Tim Krul to handle in the Canaries goal.
6: ALEJANDRO GARNACHO V REAL SOCIEDAD
The Academy graduate has two entries on our list: his first is this sensational dribble and finish against La Real, on a night United needed to win away in Europe. A huge moment in his career.
5: MARCUS RASHFORD V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
We love everything about this: Christian Eriksen’s clever corner, Rashy’s intelligent movement and then the unerring finish. When it’s from the training ground, you get bonus points!
4: ALEJANDRO GARNACHO V FULHAM
Our Goal of the Month for November summed up United: fighting until the end, with a confident Academy graduate showing his quality and then celebrating in front of our legendary away fans.
3: CRISTIANO RONALDO V TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
United’s Goal of the Season for 2021/22 is so easy on the eye. Fred’s flick is lovely and then it’s all about Ronaldo’s execution: one touch to control it, another to make space, a third to score.

Oozing confidence and swagger, our no.10 won possession midway inside our own half, dribbled up the pitch in an instant, kept his markers at bay with stepovers, wriggled past two men and unleashed an unstoppable finish into the far corner. Whisper it quietly, but it was like Ryan Giggs in ’99. Bravo!
