Daley Blind is the latest guest on the UTD Podcast

Our podcast team flew over the Germany to record our next episode - which releases at 17:00 BST on Monday (19 June) exclusively on ManUtd.com and in our app - in Munich, where Blind currently plies his trade for Bayern.

On the agenda were a wealth of topics, from former United managers Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, to the relationship Daley has with his father.

The Dutchman even spoke about van Gaal's iconic fall on the touchline while he was managing the Reds in a Premier League game against Arsenal.

"What you see is what you get," Blind said, of his former boss. "If he thinks something then he does it. If he wants to say something, he tells you to your face how it is. 

"I think really what you see with him, that’s how he is and I think I’ve [got] a lot of respect for that.

"Of course, you laugh in the beginning [when he dived on the ground] but yeah, it’s in the moment.

"You laugh about it but in the end he has a point and that’s funny."

Departing United five years ago, Blind returned to former club Ajax - and spent time working under the management of now-United boss Erik ten Hag - before moving to Munich in January this year.

The former Red - famed for his superb adaptability to play a number of positions - sat down with co-hosts Helen Evans, Sam Homewood and David May to discuss his career at United and reveal key stories from his past that shaped him as a person and a player.

The Dutchman offers an insight into his relationship with his footballing father, Danny, and also bravely speaks about heart muscle inflammation that he was diagnosed with in 2019.
