With the dust settled on 2022/23, the new issue of club magazine Inside United salutes Erik ten Hag’s maiden year as Manchester United manager with a comprehensive review of the recently ended campaign.

The manager takes centre-stage on the front cover of the July issue – which has just gone on sale – and inside the fresh edition’s pages there’s a full retrospective on the long, winding and ultimately successful season that was 2022/23.

As part of the examination of Ten Hag’s first term in office, the magazine retraces each step in close detail, telling the story month-by-month by way of key games, moments, players and quotes from the manager.

That is followed by an analysis of the way in which the Dutchman has improved, impressed and achieved during the campaign, with a raft of positives coming from the first 12 months of his tenure.

There is also player insight added to the mix, with four of Ten Hag’s men – Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay – reflecting on the season, from personal and team perspectives, in exclusive Q&As.

There’s also special focus on one player who stood out above all his team-mates during the campaign – as attested to by his Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards (not to mention 30 goals).

Marcus Rashford’s stellar campaign gets the forensic treatment, detailing the local hero’s achievements and what lay behind them, including the influence of Erik.

As well as reviewing the men’s team’s exploits in 2022/23, the magazine also comprehensively reviews United Women's historic campaign.

Marc Skinner’s side reached new heights and opened new doors during the season, including qualifying for the Champions League, finishing in a highest-ever WSL position and reaching a first major cup final – and that success story is retold in full.

There is also an exclusive interview with striker Rachel Williams, who talks about her own campaign and that of the team.

Besides season-review material, there’s still space in the issue to feature Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof behind the scenes at Carrington, celebrate Diogo Dalot’s new contract, bid a fond farewell to Phil Jones, and to pick the brains of a venerable 100-year-old fan who has seen it all.

Inside United’s July issue is on sale now in newsagents and shops, at the Old Trafford Megastore, and can be bought or subscribed to online via manutd.com/magazine.
