Gore and Bennett sign new United contracts
Manchester United can confirm Academy duo Rhys Bennett and Dan Gore have signed new contracts with the club.
The young pair have been rewarded for their hard work over recent years, having both featured in our pre-season clashes, so far this summer.
Gore, 18, and 19-year-old Bennett are graduates of our Academy system and were part of our 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning squad, with Bennett captaining the team and scoring in the final against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

Gore made a total of 26 appearances for the Reds last season, largely as captain of our Under-21s side. He most recently featured in our pre-season wins over Leeds United and Lyon, providing the assist for Donny van de Beek's winner against the French side in Scotland.
Bennett featured 14 times for United in 2022/23, playing in both our Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy campaigns. The centre-back was also named on the bench for our Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest back in December 2022.

Both players have regularly taken part in first-team training under Erik ten Hag at Carrington and will have, no doubt, gained further experience from doing so.
Gore was named in the 31-man squad that travelled to the United States, with Real Madrid up next for that team (Thursday 01:30 BST), after a youthful side takes on Wrexham in San Diego (Wednesday, 03:30 BST).
Bennett unfortunately picked up an injury that ruled him out of contention.
Congratulations to both Dan and Rhys. We look forward to seeing both of them further in the upcoming campaign.
