Bernard joins Championship new boys
Di'Shon Bernard has signed for Sheffield Wednesday, following the expiration of his contract at Manchester United.
The centre-back has shown his quality in loan spells away from the club, at Salford City, Hull City and, last term, Portsmouth, and attracted interest from several clubs.
Wednesday, newly promoted to the Championship after their incredibly dramatic play-off success at the end of 2022/23, have made five signings this summer and two of these are also former Reds - Reece James and Ashley Fletcher.

Bernard made one appearance for our first team, starting in the Europa League tie against Astana in Kazakhstan in 2019, and has broken into the Jamaica international side, even scoring his maiden goal at that level against Saint Kitts and Nevis.
When leaving Old Trafford, he said: "Though my time at Manchester United has come to an end, I am nothing but proud of my journey so far, with all the experiences and all the achievements I've accomplished along the way.
"A big thank you to all the staff, team-mates and anyone who has helped me on my journey."
Everyone at the club would like to wish Dish the best of luck for the future with his new team.
The Owls kick off the new EFL campaign this Friday night, against Southampton at Hillsborough (20:00 BST).
