Bernard seals deadline-day move

Manchester United defender Di'Shon Bernard has signed for Portsmouth on loan.

The 22-year-old defender, who made his senior United debut in the Europa League tie at Astana in 2019, is joining the League One side for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.

After returning from injury, he has been playing for the Under-21s and will relish this opportunity to head out on a temporary basis for the third time in his career.

The Londoner became a regular at Salford City and Hull City, really enhancing his reputation with a series of impressive performances.

 

With the clock ticking until the window shuts, a number of our young players have agreed loan moves to further their education, including Ondrej Mastny (Portadown), Charlie McNeill (Newport County), Charlie Savage (Forest Green Rovers) and Shola Shoretire (Bolton Wanderers).

Everybody at the club would like to wish Dish the best of luck on the south coast, with Pompey entertaining Barnsley in their next League One fixture, on Saturday afternoon.
