Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has admitted there is still room for improvement following Erik ten Hag's arrival, despite our successes during Tour 2022 thus far.

The Reds have recorded three victories from three so far, with the latest coming in Melbourne yesterday against fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were all on target for United, and Donny believes things are slowly coming together.

Donny: You can see the structure in the team

Donny van de Beek reveals how new boss Erik ten Hag is helping shape the side ahead of the 2022/23 campaign...

"You could see some structure in the team and we scored some amazing goals tonight," began the 25-year-old.

"Of course we have individual qualities, but we also played as a team and there is still room for improvement. Step by step."

Spending the last half of the 2021/22 campaign on loan with Everton, the former Ajax man has since returned to the club, linking up once again with boss Ten Hag for a second time in his career.

Therefore no stranger to Crystal Palace himself, the Dutchman insists he expects a different test from the Eagles, when we do battle in the Premier League this season.

"They were missing a lot of players and I know they have some good players in the squad. They are a good team.

"It was a good friendly match for us because we will also see them in the league. It was good."

Happy to be playing a part for United during our Tour 2022, van de Beek will be hoping to use his appearances as a springboard come the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

But with a final pre-season bout in Australia still to come against Aston Villa this weekend, the midfielder has praised the travelling support Down Under.

"I have to say we played two games here and you could see how many fans there were in the stadium – there were so many Man United fans," added Donny.

"It was a very nice experience for me and everyone in the team.

"I want to say thank you, I enjoyed it a lot. It was a really good experience so, again, thank you."
