Friday 05 December 2025 19:10

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and USA has taken place, revealing what lies ahead for Manchester United's players who hope to be there.

Supermodel Heidi Klum, comedian Kevin Hart and actor-producer Danny Ramirez co-hosted the glitzy ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

There were live music performances from Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger and Lauryn Hill, while FIFA president Gianni Infantino and US President Donald Trump both made speeches.

President Trump also received the first-ever FIFA Peace Prize.

United legend Rio Ferdinand conducted the draw alongside broadcaster Samantha Johnson and a host of sporting greats, including Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Aaron Judge and Shaquille O'Neal.

Rio was part of the presenting team at the draw in Washington.

FIXTURE DATES

Countries know their opponents and match dates, but we must wait to find out venues and kick-off times.

The exceptions are groups A (Mexico), B (Canada) and D (USA), which contain the three host nations and already have venues for the fixtures, but not kick-off times.

For all other groups, FIFA will unveil the match schedule in a live broadcast on Saturday at 17:00 GMT.
