Early team news for Galatasaray

Manchester United will be without Marcus Rashford for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League tie at Galatasaray.

The game is vital to our hopes of progressing from Group A, with the Turkish giants currently a point ahead of Erik ten Hag's men in the standings.

Rashford, who scored a penalty in the 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday, is unavailable after UEFA confirmed a one-game ban for his controversial sending off in the 4-3 defeat to FC Copenhagen.

Rasmus Hojlund, who has five European goals to his name and two against the Istanbul side at Old Trafford, missed the Goodison game but will be hoping to be in a position to travel after suffering a muscle strain against Luton Town.

Luke Shaw made his return from a long lay-off at the weekend, playing for 76 minutes before making way for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a move which saw Diogo Dalot switch to left-back.

Kobbie Mainoo, part of the B List in the Champions League, is available in the competition after previously appearing in the UEFA Youth League this term. The 18-year-old made an assured first start in the Premier League, while Anthony Martial led the attack and, of course, took the third goal expertly.

Antony sustained a knock and was not fit enough to make the matchday squad on Merseyside.

Mason Mount picked up an injury last week, while Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Jonny Evans, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are also among the absentees

GALATASARAY'S TEAM NEWS

The Turkish side are sure to be backed by a vociferous home crowd at Rams Park and will be buoyed by their 3-2 away win at Old Trafford, knowing another victory would knock the Reds out of the competition.

Coach Okan Buruk could be without former Tottenham centre-back Davinson Sanchez, who has a torn muscle, and fellow defender Abdulkerim Bardakci, as both were receiving treatment while the rest of the squad trained on Monday. However, local newspaper reports claim the pair should be available.

Influential keeper Fernando Muslera is fit again and former Red Wilfried Zaha is expected to be involved, after scoring the final goal in a 4-0 beating of Alanyaspor. It was a result which leaves Gala level on points at the top of the Super Lig table with Fenerbahce, as both sides have won 11 of their 13 matches this term.
