Early team news for Hammers tie

Manchester United are back on the cup trail in Wednesday night's showdown with West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag's Reds, fresh from the Wembley win over Newcastle United, face the Hammers for a place in the last eight of the Emirates FA Cup.

The 19:45 GMT kick-off could present an opportunity for the boss to make a few changes, ahead of Sunday's big Premier League clash at Liverpool, but he has always stated the need to keep the foot firmly on the accelerator in the bid to keep competing on four fronts.

Hence, the only players definitely out would appear to be Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen, who said he should be rid of his protective boot soon, with Anthony Martial a doubt after still being sidelined for Sunday's Carabao Cup final.

Marcus Rashford showed no ill effects after picking up a knock against Barcelona when proving his fitness with another strong showing, and the second goal, at Wembley.

Wout Weghorst has started every game since make his debut against Crystal Palace in January, while fellow loanee Marcel Sabitzer is an option to provide some fresh legs in midfield after an impressive cameo against Newcastle.

Diogo Dalot started the final but Aaron Wan-Bissaka took his place at right-back in the second half and nullified the threat of Allan Saint-Maximin.

Brandon Williams, Facundo Pellistri, Kobbie Mainoo, Zidane Iqbal and Anthony Elanga are in contention to make the squad after missing out on the bench at the weekend, as they trained at Carrington on Monday.

Casemiro was in Paris on Monday night, receiving his FIFA award for being in the FIFPro Team of the Year but obviously should be available for selection.

WEST HAM'S TEAM NEWS

Former Reds boss David Moyes will have been buoyed considerably by a 4-0 beating of Nottingham Forest at the weekend, thus easing the Hammers' relegation worries. Danny Ings scored twice, with Michail Antonio coming off the bench to promote his claims with a goal, which could prove useful with Ings cup-tied for Wednesday.

Lukasz Fabianski picked up an eye injury, with Alphonse Areola taking his place in goal, during the home triumph, while the Old Trafford tie may come too soon for winger Maxwel Cornet.

Lucas Paqueta has returned earlier than feared but Vladimir Coufal and Kurt Zouma look to be doubts.
