Manchester United are back at Old Trafford on Wednesday for the home game with Chelsea in the Premier League.

The match, which is being shown live on Amazon Prime, is a late kick-off at 20:15 GMT and presents an opportunity to recover from the weekend loss at Newcastle United.

Erik ten Hag made four changes for the 1-0 reverse on Tyneside and praised his central defensive pairing of Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw afterwards. Nonetheless, there is the option for Shaw to revert to left-back as the manager aims to work out how to return to winning ways.

Kobbie Mainoo is vying for his third successive league start, while Rasmus Hojlund appears to be being treated carefully after his injury, with the Denmark international coming on after about an hour at St James' Park.

Mauricio Pochettino's men held out for an impressive three points despite playing with 10 men for the entire second half, following their captain's dismissal.

The 10th-placed Londoners have been dealing with a lengthy injury list, which has included Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka. However, Reece James and Marc Cucurella are back from their suspensions and there are suggestions that Malo Gusto, Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku could all be available for the journey north.
