Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old suffered an injury during the weekend's Emirates FA Cup third-round tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

As a result, Maguire then missed Tuesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Manchester City, when Phil Jones started in his place.

Harry Maguire missed the Manchester derby in the Carabao Cup due to injury.

Speaking after the match, Ole Gunnar Solskajer was unable to provide a positive medical report on his defender and occasional captain.

Asked how long Maguire might be out for, having missed the tie with City, the boss said: “We don’t know. It is not going to be a long term one.

"But I don’t think he will be ready for the weekend. Let’s see.”

Maguire’s replacement in the 3-1 defeat to City was Jones, who hadn’t started a game since the 3-3 draw with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in November.

The former England international was seen limping in the second half, but Solskjaer has played down any fears of an injury.

“Jones had cramp. It was his first 90 minutes for a while, but he came through it. It was just cramp.”
