Toone wins December's Player of the Month
Ella Toone has been crowned Manchester United Women's Player of the Month, after finishing top of our latest fans poll.
Beating both Hayley Ladd and Melvine Malard to claim the accolade, our no.7 helped Marc Skinner's side win two of our three outings across the final month of 2023.
Ella found the net in our 2-1 defeat against Liverpool with a well-taken strike to open the scoring at Leigh Sports Village, while also scoring a superb chip against Tottenham in our 4-0 victory on December 10.
Toone and her team-mates are currently away on a winter training camp in Malta, with our domestic schedule set to resume later this month.

Having also represented England across the month, the born-and-bred Red has been a constant livewire this season, with the Lionesses also posting a 6-0 win over Scotland.

Toone claimed a whopping 62 per cent of the vote in our Player-of-the-Month poll and follows previous winners Malard and Nikita Parris so far this term.
