Toone wins PFA Player of the Month award
Manchester United Women midfielder Ella Toone has claimed the Professional Footballers' Association's Fan's Player of the Month award for October.
Our no.7 has been rewarded for her outstanding performances in October, when she found the back of the net against Birmingham City in the Women's Super League and also produced a superb long-range strike against Durham in the Continental Tyres Cup.
Additionally, Toone put in several solid displays for the Reds and was heavily involved in all of our WSL goals in the month, registering an assist in the Manchester derby.

For the award, the attacking midfielder beat off competition from team-mate Hannah Blundell.
Our full-back claimed two assists on the away trip to St. Andrew's at the start of the month and also had the penultimate touch for Alessia Russo's strike against Manchester City, meaning Blundell or Toone were involved in all our WSL goals in October.
In taking the prize, Toone also overcame September's winner, Chelsea forward Fran Kirby, as well as Arsenal trio Kim Little, Katie McCabe and Lotte Wubben-Moy.
The 22-year-old put on a show at international level as well, while on duty for England. She started at Wembley on 23 October in the Lionesses' first competitive match at the national stadium, as England beat Northern Ireland 4-0.
Then, three days later, she registered her first international hat-trick during a comprehensive 10-0 victory over Latvia in a World Cup qualifier. She secured the match ball with her last kick of the game and capped off a brilliant month in style.
Congratulations on a brilliant October and this well-deserved award, Ella!
