The 19-year-old spent the first half of the season with the Shrews, managed by United Academy graduate Michael Appleton, after joining the club in July.
He made his Football League debut against Colchester United and also gained senior minutes in the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Vertu Trophy.
Loan pair return
ArticleJoe Hugill and Habeeb Ogunneye have been recalled to Carrington.
The teenage goalkeeper represented England’s Under-20s during his time in Shropshire too, and will now return to Carrington following his second senior loan spell.
Harrison had a formative stay with Chester in the National League North last term and, after coming back to United midway through the campaign, featured in a Premier League matchday squad during the second half of the season.
Elyh joined our Academy from Stevenage in 2022 and won the Denzil Haroun Reserve-Team Player of the Year award for 2023/24, in recognition of his impressive performances at Under-18s level.
