England train at Carrington ahead of Euro 2024 qualifier

Sunday 18 June 2023 17:00

Gareth Southgate's England squad trained at Manchester United's Carrington complex on Sunday afternoon.

The Three Lions were putting together the final preparations ahead of Monday's Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia, at Old Trafford.

Among the group spotted out on the training pitches were United trio Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, along with a host of other familiar faces who had been selected for this round of fixtures.

The Three Lions are looking to make it three wins from three in qualifying on Monday, when they take on North Macedonia at the Theatre of Dreams.

It is the first time the national team has played at our home stadium since the 1-0 friendly defeat to Spain in 2007.

On Friday, Southgate's side beat Malta 4-0, with both Maguire and Shaw starting.

Rashford came on as a second-half substitute and will no doubt be eager to be in from the off in Monday's match.

Our no.10, who was top scorer for the Reds in 2022/23, was full of smiles during the session, as the players took part in a series of possession drills.

Monday's match at Old Trafford takes place at 19:45 BST, and make sure you stay tuned across ManUtd.com and in our app to see how the Reds fare for the Three Lions.
