Recent absentees back in training

Manchester United's latest training session at Carrington, ahead of Sunday's Premier League finale at Crystal Palace, has suggested there may be more options available for the Selhurst Park encounter.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick will take charge of the side for the last time, before handing over the reins to incoming boss Erik ten Hag, and he could be able to call upon Luke Shaw again.

The left-back had appeared to be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign when having surgery to remove metal bolts from his leg.

However, he was back out on the grass on Tuesday with his colleagues, after being absent since the draw with Leicester City on 2 April.

Fellow England internationals Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford could also return to the matchday squad after illness.

Sancho has been out with tonsillitis since the defeat at Arsenal, while Rashford joined him on the sidelines when contracting bronchitis.

The attacking pair's availability would be a boost to our forward options for the trip to the capital.

Eric Bailly continues to work after his back problem, while Harry Maguire, Fred and Edinson Cavani appear to have no ill effects following their recent returns.

Teden Mengi is also still part of the group, following his loan at Birmingham City, and there were other youngsters included in the session, with Alvaro Fernandez, Hannibal, Charlie Savage and Shola Shoretire spotted by our official photographers.

Rangnick's press conference later in the week should provide another update on the team plans for the 16:00 BST kick-off on Sunday, when the Reds take on the Eagles, looking for the victory that will secure a place in next season's Europa League.
