What's the latest on Marcus Rashford's injury?

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been asked for an update on Marcus Rashford, whom the Reds are without for this afternoon's Premier League game against Wolves.

Erik first explained during his pre-match press conference on Friday that our no.10 was "more than doubtful" for today's fixture having picked up a leg injury.

It's only the second time Marcus has missed a Premier League game this season, having previously been sidelined for last month's 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest.

Two players miss out due to fresh injuries but Raphael Varane returns in defence.

In the build-up to our meeting with Wolves, Erik was asked for an update on Marcus while speaking to the BBC.

“I can't tell [what the latest is] in this moment. He is not available," Ten Hag said.

“So for this moment, we have to focus on the team who is available. We have a good team and it's a good squad. We have to win this game."

Then pushed on whether the injury is a short-term problem, or something that could keep our top goalscorer this season out for a longer period, Erik responded: “I can’t tell in this moment and as I say, it's not my focus point in this moment.

“I hope [he will be back soon]. Of course. And he will do everything that can be done.

“The medical staff is working hard on it, but I am focused, and my team are focusing, on this game.”

In Marcus's absence, United's starting XI for today's game is as follows: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Martial.

Substitutes: Butland, Dalot, Maguire, Malacia, Fred, Elanga, Garnacho, Pellistri, Weghorst.
